Washington, DC – Congressman Howard Berman, Ranking Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the following statement in response to the simultaneous bombings that occurred earlier today in Mumbai, India.

“My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and loved-ones of those killed, and all those injured and terrorized by the simultaneous bombings that occurred today in the Zaveri Bazaar, the Opera House District, and in the Dadar sections of Mumbai. Acts of terrorism cannot be tolerated, and the perpetrators of these heinous attacks must quickly be brought to justice. As always, the United States stands ready to support India in this time of tragedy.”
