Washington, D.C. – Today, Representative Gregory W. Meeks, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the updated schedule for the month of March. 

Events that are not closed to the public will be accessible via the Committee’s website and YouTube page. All Committee events are subject to change at any time due to unforeseen circumstances. 

  • March 2 at 11:00 a.m., ET: The Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health and Global Human Rights will convene for a virtual hearing entitled, “Elections in Africa.”   
        
  • March 3 at 10:00 a.m., ET: The Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere, Civilian Security, Migration and International Economic Policy will convene for a hybrid hearing entitled, “A Way Forward for Venezuela: The Humanitarian, Diplomatic, and National Security Challenges Facing the Biden Administration.”   
        
  • March 8 at 10:00 a.m., ET: The Subcommittee on Europe, Energy, the Environment and Cyber will convene EEEC members for a briefing entitled, “The Vital Role of Women Working in Journalism in Europe.” Closed to the public.  
        
  • March 10 at 10:00 a.m., ET: The Subcommittee on International Development, International Organizations, and Global Corporate Social Impact will convene for a hybrid hearing entitled, “A Year into the Pandemic: The State of International Development.”   
        
  • March 10 at 1:30 p.m., ET: The Committee will convene for a hybrid hearing entitled, “Secretary Blinken: The Biden Administration’s Priorities for U.S. Foreign Policy.”   
        
  • March 11 at 10:00 a.m., ET: The Subcommittee on Middle East, North Africa and Global Counterterrorism will convene for a virtual hearing entitled, “The Crisis in Yemen: Part 1.”   
        
  • March 11 at 3:00 p.m., ET: The Committee will convene HFAC members for a briefing on Haiti. Closed to the public.

  • March 17 at 9:30 a.m., ET: New date and time. The Subcommittee on Europe, Energy, the Environment and Cyber will convene for a virtual hearing entitled, “Women Leading the Way: The Democratic Movement in Belarus.” 
        
  • March 17 at 11:00 a.m., ET: The Committee will convene HFAC members for a briefing on the crisis in Ethiopia and Tigray. Closed to the public.
