WASHINGTON—Representative Eliot L. Engel, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, today made the following statement regarding the attack in Munich:

“My heart goes out to the victims of yesterday's attack in Munich and their loved ones.  The United States knows too well the scourge of senseless gun violence, and we've seen too often the results when guns end up in the hands of people who shouldn't have them. We stand today with all the people of Germany as they mourn those killed, heal the wounded, and work to move forward from this tragedy."
