Washington, D.C. – Today, Representative Gregory W. Meeks, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the schedule for the month of May.

  • May 11 at 9:30 a.m., ET: The Subcommittee on International Development, International Organizations and Global Corporate Social Impact will convene its members for a hybrid hearing entitled, “Improving the United States’ Ability to Prevent and Stabilize Conflict: Global Fragility Act Implementation.” 

  • May 11 at 2:00 p.m., ET: The Subcommittee on Europe, Energy, the Environment, and Cyber will convene its members for a hybrid hearing entitled, “Accountability and Justice for War Crimes Committed in Ukraine by the Russian Federation.” 

  • May 11 at 4:00 p.m., ET: The Committee will convene its members for a public briefing with UN World Food Program Executive Director David Beasley. 

  • May 12 at 10:00 a.m., ET: The Committee will convene its members for a hybrid hearing entitled, “Forest Conservation in the Fight Against Climate Change.”  

  • May 12 at 2:00 p.m., ET: The Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific, Central Asia, and Nonproliferation will convene its members for a hybrid hearing entitled, “The Way Forward on U.S. North Korea Policy.” 

  • May 17 at 9:00 a.m., ET: The Committee will convene its members for a hybrid hearing entitled “The FY23 Budget Request: USAID’s Foreign Policy and International Development Priorities.”  

  • May 18 at 8:30 a.m., ET: The Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific, Central Asia, and Nonproliferation will convene its members for a closed roundtable entitled, “Spotlighting and Addressing Hurdles for AAPIs in Public Service.”

  • May 18 at 10:00 a.m., ET: The Committee will convene its members for a virtual public roundtable on the Ukraine refugee crisis. 

  • May 18 at 1:00 p.m., ET: The Subcommittee on Europe, Energy, the Environment and Cyber will convene its members for a closed briefing on Russian cyber threats. 

  • May 18 at 2:00 p.m., ET: The Subcommittee on the Middle East, North Africa, and Global Counterterrorism will convene its members for a hybrid hearing entitled, “The Impact of Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine in the Middle East and North Africa.” 

  • May 19 at 8:30 a.m., ET: The Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific, Central Asia, and Nonproliferation will convene its members for a hybrid hearing entitled, “The Ukraine Crisis: Implications for U.S. Policy in the Indo-Pacific.”
