Washington, D.C. – Today, Representative Gregory W. Meeks, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released the schedule for the month of December.

  • December 2 at 9:30 a.m., ET: The Committee will convene its members for a closed briefing on Ukraine. 

  • December 6 at 10:00 a.m., ET: The Subcommittee on the Middle East, North Africa, and Global Counterterrorism will convene its members for a hybrid hearing entitled, "Confronting Yemen's Humanitarian and Political Crises Without a Ceasefire.” 

  • December 6 at 2:00 p.m., ET: The Committee will convene its members for a hybrid markup of various measures. 

  • December 7 at 10:00 a.m., ET: The Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific, Central Asia, and Nonproliferation will convene its members for a hybrid hearing entitled, “Understanding and Addressing Challenges in the Mekong Region.” 

  • December 7 at 2:00 p.m., ET: The Subcommittee on International Development, International Organizations, and Global Corporate Social Impact will convene its members for a hybrid hearing entitled, “Modernizing International Development Assistance: Opportunities and Challenges.”

  • December 14 at 10:00 a.m., ET: The Subcommittee on Europe, Energy, the Environment, and Cyber will convene its members for a hybrid hearing entitled, “US Policy Towards the Caucasus.” 

  • December 14 at 1:00 p.m., ET: The Subcommittee on the Middle East, North Africa, and Global Counterterrorism will convene its members for a public virtual briefing entitled, “Navigating the Political and Humanitarian Landscape in Yemen: A Conversation with Civil Society on Paths Forward for Congress.” 

  • December 15 at 9:00 a.m., ET: The Committee will hold a classified briefing on Iran.
