New York City — Representative Gregory W. Meeks, Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly High Level Week.

They discussed Ukraine's urgent air defense needs amid continued Russian strikes, and efforts to advance a U.S.-Ukraine drone deal and other co-production opportunities that would deepen defense-industrial ties between the two countries. Ranking Member Meeks reiterated his commitment to pushing Congress to deliver additional military and economic support to Ukraine without delay.
