WASHINGTON, DC—Representative Eliot L. Engel, the leading Democrat on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, today made the following statement regarding negotiations over Iran’s nuclear program:
“It’s premature to comment on an extension of the negotiations with Iran, as the details have not yet been announced. I would hope any extension includes new concessions from the Iranians while keeping the talks on track. I’ll have more to say once we see all the specifics.”
